did a photo shooting for POPEYE magazine (styling by TOMOKI SUKEZANE),
we had a lot of fun shooting the brazilian twin brothers!,...they look so identical!!!...I had a hard time remembering their names!!!
even the dogs were identical!!!

LUIRE magazine is a magazine turned to black people culture and fashion,...by this I mean reggae, hiphop and of course R&B,
then I got assigned to shoot an editorial where the theme was LOVE STORY,....
....what kind of LOVE STORY can I come up with to a magazine like LUIRE??
first I thought about a couple who robbed a bank and finalyy got killed by the police,...something like “BONNIE&CLYDE”,...the famous couple who robbed a lot of banks in America in 1930’s,
but then we didn’t have enough budget to make the pictures....so I had to come up with a “cheaper” idea...

and this is what was published in the magazine...

first,..she is waiting for her man....



.....then she prepares the drinks....



....then she does what she has to do....



...after so much shaking she gets hungry...and he kindly gives her some strawberries...



...finally...she puts on her make-up....



...and pays him!!!...thanks for your services!!!!



we had a big laughter during the shooting!!,...I guess it’s pretty much a LUIRE style LOVE STORY!!!

sometimes you see some very nice TV commercials,...or even some very interesting fashion editorial....so,..have you ever asked yourself: “where did they get this idea from??”
usually the creators have a “brain storming” meeting,...where they discuss many diferent ideas till come up with something good!
usually photographers don’t have much chance to be in the “brain storming” meeting,...it is a job for creative directors and art-directors,...but sometimes “we” have a chance to be the creators of an advertising.

so, I got my chance to be the creative director of an advertising for a bicycle!
how can I make it look interesting??
I got my inspiration from MADONNA’s last year world tour,...where she wore horse riding costume in a very fetish way,





talking about fetish,...then I saw an advertising for an AUSTRIAN APPLIANCE STORE,...and they had a very different way to show their products...





since FETISH was the “in” look not only in music but also in advertisings all around the world I decided to mix both ideas,...MADONNA and the AUSTRIAN advertising together to come up with a strong and powerful image for the bicycle advertising which was on the pages of LEON na ZINO magazines.



very “eye-catching”,...specially into a men’s fashion magazine,...the ad created a lot of discussions in many bicycle related sites,...some loved it,...some hated it!!

oh yeah!!!....talking about MADONNA...I am a bit sad she divorced my favorite movie-director...GUY RITCHIE...they shot together a great video for BMW...so cool yet super funny...I just love english sense of humor!!!

I woke up 5:30 AM to go on location for SAFARI magazine,...it was a very rainy day,...bad wheather indeed!!,...we managed to do a few shots indoors and on a balcony under a roof,...when we finished shooting indoors the rain was gone!! ...so we could shoot the other cuts outside and finished the day with a very nice sunset!!...
a good looking couple,...a harley davidson,...the route 66,...and a lot of money in their pockets!!...get your kicks on route 66!!

this video is based on a drag-king look,...hollywood 40’s,...women posing like men,...very sharp lighting, posing and hair&make-up!




in this other video I wanted to show the softness and lightness of the material used to make the clothes,...so I had the models jumping around like in some kind of dance!
